Fareham and Gosport Young Carers
For many years Kids has been supporting young carers but, unfortunately, our service will be closing at the end of July. Find out about other services that may be able to support you below.
About this service
Kids will be withdrawing from providing a targeted service for young carers in the Fareham & Gosport area at the end of July 2024.
We hope that an alternative provider can be found to continue the work we’ve been doing and provide ongoing support to the young people we have been supporting. We will let you know as soon as we hear more information about that.

Good Grub Club – During the school holiday we offer a Good Grub Club. The Good Grub club offers families the opportunity to be involved in cooking tasty ‘ Good Grub’ that can be then cooked at home at a low cost. The Provision is mainly aimed at families who are eligible for free school meals but we understand that many more families can benefit from such a great offer.
Service Community Youth Club – Looking for something for your young person (secondary school age) to do of an evening? Then look no further. From April 19th we will be opening up a Service Community Youth Club for local Service children and Veteran children to have a place to meet up, chat, play, mix, chill and make new friends. We are being supported by Aggies who have experienced youth workers and HMS Sultan Chaplaincy who will support the running of the group.
The club will run from 4.30pm-6.30pm every 3rd Wednesday.

Loud and Proud is a group of young people aged 16-25 that facilitates volunteering in the Gosport area. Our aim is to raise awareness of the diversity among people in our society and the wide range of issues which affect them whether these are disability, mental health, confidence or cultural issues, and to show that there is a role for everyone.
