Get into the festive spirit with an evening full of music, joy, and Christmas cheer at the Royal College of Music. Enjoy brilliant performances from Royal College of Music students and Finchley Children’s Music Group, filling the space with heartwarming songs.
There will also be special guest readings from well-known faces, along with young people from the Kids Advisory Panel, sharing stories that are full of heart, hope, and festive cheer.
After the concert, stay with us for festive refreshments at our reception – a chance to relax, enjoy some treats, and celebrate the season together.

Finchley Children’s Music Group
We’re thrilled to welcome the Finchley Children’s Music Group, a charity dedicated to inspiring young singers aged 4 to 18 in North London. Known for their exceptional performances and joyful approach to choral training, FCMG nurtures young voices in a safe, supportive, and exciting environment.
Megan Rose & Niki Moosavi: Cello duo
Megan Rose, is a cellist, teacher and founding member of the Turner quartet and has recently completed her Masters of Music at the Royal College of Music with Richard Lester. As an orchestral cellist Megan has enjoyed performing in the BBC Proms and Helsinki Festival with Sakari Oramo as well as working with other renowned conductors such as Martyn Brabbins, Sir Andrew Davis, Ben Palmer, Sir Antonio Pappano and more. As a Principal cellist she has led cello sections for the RCM Revolutions Opera, with Michael Rosewell 2024, as well as Trinity Labans Sinfonia and Symphony orchestra 2018-2022.
Niki Moosavi is a cellist with a devotion for making classical music more accessible. Niki regularly works with orchestras in London including the Chineke! Orchestra and London Contemporary Orchestra. Highlights include performing at Glastonbury Festival, the BBC Proms and recordings at Abbey Road Studios. In September 2026, Niki will make her theatre debut playing onstage for Sam Yates’ ‘Golden Boy’, starring Josh O’Connor.
Ustinya Malinina: Mezzo-Soprano
Ustinya Malinina is an award-winning young mezzo-soprano known for her warm vocal timbre, expressive musicality, and commanding stage presence. She has rapidly established herself on the international concert stage, performing across Europe and Asia and earning recognition as one of the most promising singers of her generation.
Her recent highlights include a guest appearance alongside Andrea Bocelli in Turin, solo recitals in London and Italy, and a featured soloist role in Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 at the Madeira Music Festival. She has performed at leading venues and festivals including Tokyo Opera City, Bechstein Hall, Gasteig, Crocus City Hall, Lerici Music Festival, and the Madeira Music Festival.
Her competition achievements include Best Future Singer at the 2025 Basel International Song Competition in Tokyo, the Platinum Prize at the 2024 London Young Musician Competition, First Prizes at the Fanny Mendelssohn International Competition and the Gold International Classical Music Competition, as well as the Absolute First Prize at the World Grand Prix International Music Contest.
Kaishun Ypsilantis: Collaborative pianist
Kaishun is a London-based collaborative pianist who works regularly with singers and instrumentalists. A Distinction graduate of the Royal College of Music’s Master’s in Collaborative Piano, she studied with Simon Lepper, Roger Vignoles, Julian Jacobson and Howard Williams. Recognised for her instinctive musicianship, professionalism and reliability, she has a particular passion for song and collaborative performance.
A registered RCM External Accompanist and member of its Professional Engagement Service, Kaishun also performs regularly in churches and libraries. Her community contribution was recognised with an award from the Lord Mayor of Westminster in 2026. She recently made her German debut with soprano Elza Loginova at the SommerMusikAkademie Schloss Hundisburg, following their selection for its Masterclass for Song and Piano Accompaniment. Their performance culminated in collaborative study with Patrick Rohbeck and Daniel Heide.
