What is this programme about?

These groups run on a rolling programme to support wellbeing and social inclusion in different ways.
We keep our groups small and supportive, and places are limited.

  • We have a maximum capacity of 8 young people, allowing us to create a safe, supportive environment.
  • All activities are optional, it’s completely fine to join and just listen.
  • We actively encourage young people to share their ideas for session activities so that our groups are person centred, meaningful, and genuinely interesting to those who attend.

Aims:

  • To facilitate the development of social communication with peers
  • Build self-esteem and resilience
  • Provide post school regulation
  • Support better understanding of emotions.

For more information or to book a place email shrophire@kids.org.uk. All referrals require a triage call with one of our practitioners. This ensures we follow our consent processes and provide support in a holistic, informed way.

Create brighter futures with disabled children

Childhood should be joyful.  Not defined by what disabled children and young people cannot do. That’s wrong.

Kids is on a mission to create a world where all kinds of children and young people have all  kinds of opportunities. Support Kids to create brighter futures with disabled children.
