Discover invaluable insights and actionable strategies at our PDA workshop designed for naval families, specifically crafted to tackle the unique challenges of parenting neurodivergent children.
Thursday 25th September
11:00 – 12:30
Group video call on Teams
This workshop is designed for naval and marine parent/carers of neurodivergent children to help them to understand Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and how it can affect their child’s behaviour.
The session explores the key aspects of PDA, its connection with anxiety, and how it differs from other neurodivergent profiles. Practical strategies are shared to help families support their PDA child with greater empathy, flexibility, and confidence, in a supportive and understanding environment.
This workshop is only available to families from the Royal Navy or Royal Marines. If you are not a member of the Royal Navy or Royal Marines why not take a look at some of our other workshops.
Childhood should be joyful. Not defined by what disabled children and young people cannot do. That’s wrong.
Kids is on a mission to create a world where all kinds of children and young people have all kinds of opportunities. Support Kids to create brighter futures with disabled children.
