Our short, activity-packed breaks are carefully designed with input from families, ensuring that every child and young person’s unique needs are met. They help individuals develop essential life skills, fostering greater self-reliance. And they’re a gateway to fresh experiences, new friendships, and vibrant memories.
Short breaks can happen at our Hackney or Islington Playgrounds, or out in the community through our outreach service. A Kids professional can take your child out for some fun— whether it’s a trip to the cinema, bowling alley, or a splash at the local swimming pool. They have a joyful experience and it gives you as a family a break from caregiving duties.
Or, if you prefer, a Kids worker can provide care right in the comfort of your own home, allowing the rest of the family to venture out and enjoy some quality time. And for shared memories if the whole family’s out for the day, a Kids worker can come along to make sure everyone has an amazing time.
Our team is made up of skilled professionals, from buddies and key workers to mentors, support workers, and specialised caregivers. Their expertise ensures that everyone’s needs are met with care and precision.
We’re fully registered with OFSTED and CQC, and we strictly adhere to all relevant guidelines, ensuring a safe and trustworthy environment for all.
Our play scheme clubs at our Hackney or Islington Adventure Playgrounds cater for children on short breaks. Supported by qualified and trained staff, we aim to provide children with equal access to all activities. Activities may include inside and outside play, arts and crafts, cooking and gardening. All Children or young people will be required to attend the playground to register prior to attending. Please see our Hackney Playground or Hayward Playground for more information and opening hours.
“I love my short break because it gives me independence and it gives me some time for ME!”
