About Marcia
Marcia is an experienced executive leader with over twenty years’ experience at Board and executive level across the charity, public and private sectors. She is currently Executive Director of People, Culture & Governance at Turn2us, leading organisational strategy across people, culture, governance, safeguarding and inclusion. She has also served as Interim CEO and previously held senior leadership roles at Mind and The Trussell Trust, leading organisational transformation and culture change.
She brings extensive governance experience across the NHS, policing, local and central government, and the charity sector. Marcia is a Board Advisor to central government, a Magistrate (Justice of the Peace), and has chaired the Finance, Personnel and Audit Committee of a secondary grammar school. She is passionate about creating inclusive organisations where strong governance supports positive outcomes.
Marcia has a longstanding commitment to improving opportunities for disabled children, young people and adults. Through both her professional leadership and personal experience of the SEND system, she understands the barriers many people face and is a strong advocate for inclusion, co-production and equity. Earlier in her career, she volunteered as a youth mentor and supported projects with young people across the West Midlands.
Marcia is legally trained, holds an MSc in Human Resource Management, is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, and lives in Kent with her husband, two children and three cats.
