About Helen
Helen joined Kids as Chief Operating Officer in January 2023. She leads the charity’s core operations, ensuring that services across the country run safely, efficiently and with the needs of disabled children, young people and families at the centre.
Her responsibilities span organisational performance, people and culture, finance, business development, safeguarding, technology and operational delivery. Helen works across Kids to build strong, sustainable foundations that support high‑quality services, financial stability and future growth.
With more than thirty years’ experience across the banking, insurance, property and corporate responsibility sectors, Helen brings deep leadership expertise and a passion for creating supportive, values‑led workplaces.
At Prudential, she led the development of sustainable community partnerships nationwide, mobilising employees and volunteers to support local initiatives. At SDL Group, she introduced a People Programme and a hybrid working policy that helped colleagues achieve a healthier balance between work and home life, with a strong focus on mental health and wellbeing.
Helen began her career in banking, holding management roles in branch and business banking as well as training and development. Throughout her career, she has been driven by a commitment to empowering teams, strengthening organisations and ensuring services make a lasting, positive difference.
