Kids becomes MCM Comic Con’s Official Charity Partner!

On Friday 23rd October, Kids attended MCM Comic Con London for the third time, but this was our first event as their Official Charity Partner.

Published: 30 October 2026

MCM Comic Con London is the UK’s biggest celebration of pop culture. It brings together fans of gaming, amine, comics, film, TV, and literature. This new partnership reflects our shared commitment to creating welcoming, inclusive spaces where everyone can enjoy the Comic Con experience.

The Kids Quiet Space

With the excitement, costumes, music and crowds that make Comic Con so special, it’s important that visitors also have a place to pause and recharge. That’s where the Kids Quiet Space comes in. Designed as a calm, low-stimulation environment, it gives people of all ages the chance to take a break, with sensory toys, weighted blankets and therapeutic activities available throughout the weekend.

We were proud to welcome an incredible 1,400 people to the Quiet Space over the weekend. This was three times more visitors than the last event in May 2026, showing both the increased awareness of the space and the high demand amongst fans for an area to reset and recharge.

Feedback from our Quiet Space

Fans visiting the Quiet Space left us some incredible feedback highlighting the impact of the space.

“Great space to relax, away from the crowded spaces. Much needed today!”

“As someone with ASD, ADHD, and chronic pain, this place was really perfect to catch a break.”

“It is so good for people of any age, and as someone who is ADHD, I am prone to over-stimulation easily, so this is really great.”

Kids fundraising stand

Alongside the Quiet Space, our fundraising and engagement stand gave visitors the chance to meet the Kids team, find out more about our work and get involved in our tombola to win a Squishmallow.

Thanks to the generosity of Comic Con fans, we also raised over £1,000 to help support disabled children, young people and their families.

Creative session at The Treehouse

For the first time ever, Kids also hosted two creative sessions at ‘The Treehouse’ – a family arts and crafts drop-in centre. Led by our Youth Voice team, we offered families the chance to have spend some quality down time together at the event. A particular highlight was the making of a ‘Positivi-tree’ – a chain of positive messages from fans.

‘Look for the sparkles in life.’

‘Always be happy and confident and never let anyone ruin your shine.’

‘You are the best you – own it!’

‘Take a breath – now’s your chance to live.’

Thank you to our partners

The success of the weekend would not have been possible without the support of our partners. Thank you to MCM Comic Con for welcoming us as their Official Charity Partner, Jazwares for donating prizes for our tombola, and Panini for providing comics for visitors to enjoy in the Quiet Space.

We are excited to continue building this partnership and will be returning to Comic Con on 28-30 May 2027. If you have ideas about how we can make large-scale events more accessible and enjoyable for everyone, we’d love to hear from you.
