We’re a vibrant network of over 250 parents and carers who understand the unique journey of raising children with special educational needs. If you’re a parent or carer of 0-25 year olds with special educational needs and disabilities, we’re here for you.
Who's it for?
Any Camden resident caring for 0 to 25 year olds with special education needs. Parents or carers of children who go to school in Camden but live in another borough are also welcome.
When does it run?
Throughout term times. The Forum will be closed for summer from Tuesday 21st July and will reopen on Monday 7th September.

Who we are
The Camden Parent Carer Forum is run by parents of SEND Children who live in & have links with the local Community. We understand the unique journey of raising children with additional needs. We aim to share information, listen to your experiences, identify common themes and strengthen our common voice to improve services.
We are a member of the National Network of Parent Carer Forums (known as the NNPCF), which brings together the collective voice of families like ours from across England. We work closely with Camden Local Authority (Education, Health & Social Care) and other service providers to influence how they commission, plan and deliver services to meet the needs of children and young people with SEND
What we do
Peer support
We host regular events, both in person and online to bring parent carers together in a safe, supportive space to share experiences and ideas. We also offer activities that promote self-care, helping parent carers look after themselves so they can better support others.
Training and Workshops
We work in partnership with different education, health and social care providers to provide training and workshops on different topics helpful to parent carers.
Working with Camden to improve services
We work with Camden Local Authority to ensure parent carer voices help shape SEND services. Every two months, we host forum meetings bringing parent carers together with professionals to share experiences, highlight what’s working and discuss improvements to help strengthen relationships between families and services. We also offer opportunities to join focus groups and consultations, helping to amplify the parent carer voice and improve local services and support for SEND families

Events and workshops calendar
We have lots of events, workshops and meetings for any parent, carer in Camden with a child or young person (0- 25 years) with special needs. Whether you are seeking guidance, looking to share your experiences or simply hoping to connect with other parents or carers, our calendar has something for everyone. Please join us!
- Coffee Mornings are a chance to meet other parents for a chat & to share advice and info.
- Walk and Talks are relaxed walks on Hampstead Heath and a chance to get together with other parents, have a cup of coffee along the way and just talk about anything and everything.
- Workshops are held each term jointly with other services and agencies on various subjects.
- Forum Meetings are when we get together as parents with different professionals from services in and around Camden – ask questions, get updates and give feedback.
