Young People’s Hub

The Young People’s Hub from Kids is our online platform created by young disabled people. It offers information and advice, support services, and opportunities to tell your story or get your voice heard.

Say hello to the Hub!

About the Hub

The Young People’s Hub is Kids’ brand new platform for young disabled people and young people with special educational needs.

It’s a platform for young people made by young people. Over fifty young disabled people were involved in the development of the Hub, feeding in ideas, choosing designs, staffing our steering group, and writing articles or presenting films.

The Hub offers:

  • GUIDES: video guides presented by young disabled people with information and advice on topics including independent travel, healthcare, employment, and living with a hidden disability
  • WELLBEING SERVICES: virtual groups sessions with fun activities
  • SPEAK UP: share your stories, opinions and ideas. And connect with other young people to make the world a better place.
  • NEAR ME: a simple way to find local SEND services in your area

Get involved

We are looking for more young people to get involved. If you are a young disabled person, and you have something to tell the world, we want to hear from you!

Do you have a story that will inspire other young people? Do you want to highlight an injustice and campaign for change? Or maybe you are passionate about something, and you want to share that with the world? Whatever you want to say, we’re here to help you say it.

“I loved it. It was the best thing of my school year.”

“It’s definitely boosted my self-confidence a lot.”
