Our resources hub brings together a collection of practical advice, guidance and toolkits on how to ensure effective participation with children, young people and their families.
We have a range of resources aimed at helping practitioners involve children and young people in decision-making.
Barriers to participation
At the practitioners conference in 2022 we asked what barriers practitioners found to hearing young people’s voices. Ideas of ways to overcome barriers were also shared by practitioners and then by members of The Collective as part of The Collective Get Together. We grouped the barriers into key themes and collated the good practice. A small working group co-produced the factsheets below
