About us Careers Young People’s Participation and Engagement Coordinator Closing Date: 30th April 2018 Temporary role until end of March 2020 Hours of work: Full Time Salary: £23,908 Location: Home Based, Midlands Area Role Description: We are seeking a self-motivated professional to join our team delivering support to local areas in developing their participation approaches and strategies with young disabled people. The post holder will lead engagement with local authorities and their partners, developing and delivering interventions to support improvements in SEND participation. Interventions, in the form of development sessions, will be coproduced and delivered through liaison with Young People’s Engagement Groups within KIDS. The successful applicant will demonstrate a proven ability to work directly with young disabled people, experience in working with local authority staff, and the development and delivery of training. The post holder will also support other colleagues across England in the development and delivery of training and resources related to young disabled people’s participation and engagement. The role is home based, and so requires a self-motivated and conscientious approach. The successful candidate will be supported by an existing team delivering high quality work as part of the Making Participation Work contract, funded by the Department for Education.
