KIDS short breaks provides trained staff to support children and young people in their own home and/or out and about in the community. The service offers a flexible approach, families are able to book support to meet their child/young person’s needs. This can include pooling budgets to enable children/young people to go out and engage in an activity as a group. KIDS is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC).

How does the service work?

Families can self-refer or be referred by School, Social Care, Health professionals. Once a referral is made, Kids staff will arrange a home visit to the family.  At this time we complete a portfolio and risk assessment.  The child/young person is then added to our short breaks booking system.   Once on the system families will be asked to assign their payment card to the system, once this has been set up, families can then book sessions by emailing Samantha Ball.
