Full Time Equivalent (FTE) salary: Grade 7 £15,551 - Grade 6 £17,297 per annum (depending on experience & qualifications)

Hours per week:  Bank, part time or full time 36 hours per week

Location: Kids House

The role:

The Residential Short Breaks Practitioner is to provide residential respite care for Children and Young People with learning and/or physical disabilities, providing 1:1 support if required.

The direct work with Children and Young People will also include providing practical and emotional support to empower them to develop skills and appropriate independence.

36 hours per week, to include some unsociable hours, with the need for flexibility to meet the needs of the service – hours worked on a shift basis

Grade 7 Post requires some residential experience working with children & young people with disabilities/Autism

Grade 6 Post requires NVQ3 in Health & Social Care for Children (or equivalent) and at least 6 months experience working with children and young people with disabilities/autism in a residential setting.
