Ronnie Scott’s Charitable Foundation are helping to inspire and empower disabled children from challenging backgrounds by funding £3,509.07 towards a series of African Jazz Drumming workshops to take place at two of our London Adventure Playgrounds in Wandsworth and Islington, throughout Autumn 2020.

Ronnie Scott’s Charitable Foundation is the charity of the iconic late-night basement Jazz Club in Soho, London. The Foundation, established in 2015, supports jazz and music education in the UK and beyond. KIDS shares Ronnie Scott’s Charitable Foundation’s belief that young people living in challenging circumstances deserve equal access to the benefits of music through education.

These workshops will be run by revered jazz musician Abbas Dodoo with his company, One Drum, and will be delivered safely in compliance with COVID-19 Government guidance. The project will empower and inspire a passion for music, helping to improve the children’s communication, cognitive growth and coordination whilst reducing levels of isolation for children.
