Domiciliary care provides personal care for your child in your own home. Our carers provide a wide range of high-quality hands-on care to disabled children and young people. Tasks can include support with personal care, hygiene, household tasks or other activities to support your child in their day-to-day life.
Families tap into this valuable service through Kids after a social work assessment. If the assessment identifies a need for support, the dedicated social worker will reach out to Kids, providing all the essential details about the required care. If we have the capacity to help, we’ll get in touch with you to arrange a visit to your home.
During this visit, we’ll take care of the necessary paperwork to create a comprehensive care plan that perfectly matches the unique needs of your child or young person. We’ll sit down with you to work out the when and how of the care, ensuring it aligns with everyone’s daily schedules.
Once that’s settled, we’ll select a Domiciliary Care worker who possesses the right skills for the job. But before the care officially begins, we’ll make sure there’s an introductory visit, allowing the family and the care worker to get acquainted and comfortable with each other.
Referrals for the service must come through social services.
