KIDS Smile Centre is purpose built providing fabulous facilities for disabled children and young people.  We currently run the following services from this centre:

Residential overnight through our KIDS House service

Whilst the centre is state of the art energy saving features and fully equipped facilities, it very much has a homely environment and only small numbers of children or young people stay at any one time, creating the feeling of a sleepover. Facilities include five bedrooms for 5-18 year olds with 4 of these being en-suite - all with ceiling hoists. We are exploring options for use of our two bedroom self-contained flat.

Day-time short breaks

Short Breaks can relieve the strain on families and reduce stress on parents, whilst giving a child or young person an opportunity to explore new interests and develop independence. The various facilities available at the KIDS Smile Centre enable children and young people to enjoy new activities as well as meeting a wider social network – helping them to develop social and life skills. Facilities include:

  • A physiotherapy and treatment room
  • A fabulous sensory room
  • Specially planted gardens to encourage sensory stimulation

Young People's Engagement Group(South East)

Our Young People's Engagement Group (YPEG) from the South East regularly meet up to discuss how they can:

  • Influence national and local policy and practice development
  • Ensure that their voices become embedded within strategic participation locally
  • Ensure they understand the changes to the law and how it affects them
