How does the service work?

The KIDS Summer Activities will form part of a wider offer of Summer Activities Programme for disabled children aged 8-18 years old living in Hull. The KIDS Summer Activities will offer children and young people the opportunity to enjoy fun group activities in a supportive and safe environment across Hull, whilst giving parents and carers a short break from caring.

Parents are able to book up to 5 sessions (up to 25 hours) of KIDS’ Summer Activities of your choice to meet your child and family’s needs between Thursday 24th July and Friday 30th August 2019  This is a sample timetable attached Summer_Activities_Sample_programme.docx which gives more information about the types of session available, possible venue, and suggested times and activities available for information.

‘This is a well run, diverse scheme that my child really enjoyed. She was excited about the next days activities and the range and scope of activities/venues visited was impressive, well done and thank you’

‘The enthusiasm of all the staff we met – from the very first pick up, was wonderful. I liked the trendy staff T-Shirts, it really felt like waving her off to Camp America or something. You clearly have a great culture at KIDS.’
