How does the service work?

The KIDS Summer Activities will form part of a wider offer of Summer Activities Programme for disabled children aged 8-18 years old living in Hull. The KIDS Summer Activities will offer children and young people the opportunity to enjoy fun activities in a supportive and safe environment across Hull, whilst giving parents and carers a short break from caring.

Due to the current Covid-19 situation the Summer Programme is subject to government legislation and guidelines to protect the safety of children, young people, their families and KIDS Staff.Summer_Activities_2020_info.pdf

This year the Summer Programme will have reduced capacity and timetable of activities for children and young people attending. The programme will run from Monday 27th July 2020 to Friday 4th September 2020 (Monday-Friday).

'This is a well run, diverse scheme that my child really enjoyed. She was excited about the next days activities and the range and scope of activities/venues visited was impressive, well done and thank you’

‘The enthusiasm of all the staff we met – from the very first pick up, was wonderful. I liked the trendy staff T-Shirts, it really felt like waving her off to Camp America or something. You clearly have a great culture at KIDS.’

Who is the service for?

This is open to families living in Hull with children and young people aged 8 to 18 whose disabilities significantly impact on their ability to access mainstream activities/clubs/play schemes/services, and those families who cannot get a break, either formal or informal, without this specialist provision.  Children and young people who do not receive any other services will be considered for priority.
