Grants are available for individual Young Carers who live in Hull and provide significant care, assistance or support to another family member who has a long term illness, disability, mental health difficulties or problems with drug or alcohol misuse. 

Grants are also available for a range of providers including the voluntary sector and local support groups to plan and provide opportunities to give Young Carers a break from their caring role.

How does the service work?

Individual or Group Applications are submitted and considered by a panel of professionals at monthly meetings.

The individual application must be endorsed by a professional who knows the family and is prepared to support the application (eg Social Worker, Health professional, Keyworker, someone from School/College).

Who is the service for?

Young Carers aged between 5 and 18, who live in Hull.

How much does it cost?

The service is free.
