Open Letter to KIDS Families from KIDS Chief Executive Dear Parents and Carers In these most difficult of times I wanted to write and tell you about our response to the coronavirus emergency. We are all adapting as daily life is turned upside down and, of course, as the parent/carer of a disabled child or young person you will have extra worries and challenges. Where we can safely do so and within Government guidelines, KIDS continues to offer services to families. Where this is not possible, we’re working hard to provide telephone support and to provide local outreach support via our local community teams. Do please keep in contact with your local service who will have the latest local information. Our website is updated regularly and signposts useful information along with the latest Government guidance. We want to do everything we can to support you and your families and we will be adapting our services over coming weeks as much as we can. Our local teams will be in touch with more details as our plans take shape. Do sign up for KIDS updates, follow us on Facebook and Twitter and share our stories with your friends. KIDS has been supporting families for 50 years and we will continue to do so during and after the current crisis. That is our promise. With my best wishes Katie GhoseChief Executive P.S. Please do get in touch if you’d like to share an experience or idea that might help another family.
