KIDS supports over 13,500 disabled children, young people and their families nationally – as a charity we are able to do this partly due to the amazing work carried out by the 450+ sessional workers who provide support directly to families through short breaks sessions, playgrounds, play provision, youth services and residential. Without the hard work and dedication of our team of sessional workers, KIDS would simply not be able to provide its vast array of services.

Our sessional workers provide the charity with a diverse and skilled workforce, often choosing sessional work as a second job or additional role means that they bring a wide range of experience to the organisation serving to enrich the offering KIDS are able to provide.

When asking children, young people and families about the support they receive it is often the worker/s that support the families who are referenced most often – for example;

“They help increase the kids and young adult’s confidence and social interactions”

““We couldn’t have asked for a better worker for our son going above and beyond every session”

“It meets my child’s needs very well. He really looks forward to his sessions and he has benefitted a lot”

During the COVID 19 pandemic it has often been our sessional staff providing direct delivery that has enabled the charity to continue its high level of support to disabled children, young people and families, therefore as an organisation we would like to say a massive thank you to our team of incredible sessional workers for all your hard work.

We are always looking for talented people to join our team of sessional staff please visit our careers page for latest vacancies
