Caroline became the Chief Executive at KIDS in August 2013. In her early career Caroline was a pharmacist, operating theatre manager and hospital managing director. Prior to joining KIDS she was a Chief Operating Officer in a health charity. She also has an MBA.

Caroline made the conscious decision to move to a charity supporting disabled children and young people following her personal experience of being a mother of a son with severe autism and severe learning disability. This experience and the impact on the family gave her a passion to make positive change for other families in a similar position. Caroline has been the Vice Chair of the Council for Disabled Children Partnership Board since September 2015 and is also a trustee of a charity supporting carers of people with dementia.
