Virtual Events At KIDS we want to ensure we have challenges that are just right for you. This is where virtual challenges come in, a challenge that can be as cheap and flexible as you need it to be, personally twisted to suit your goals. Let your imagination run wild while you push yourself to the limits of things you never knew you could do. Here are some suggestions to get you started: Counting steps: Counting steps is great, but let us give you a reason to count them! Set a goal for yourself and meet it while raising money for children and young people with disabilities. - Our challenge: get your 10,000 steps in every day for two weeks straight. If you’re typically more active, raise it to give yourself more of a challenge. All you need is a Fitbit and a good pair of walking shoes, making it a great way to use KIDS and fundraising as an excuse to build healthy habits. Running: You may be an avid runner (or novice one), wanting to participate in our marathons or runs. But maybe you just don't have the time to train or the date doesn't work for you. No matter, we have a solution. - Our challenge: Run a full marathon within 1 month. For example, you can run 1.5 miles per day, or you can run the entire distance in one day. It’s up to you, just make sure you take lots of photos to celebrate your achievement! Cycling: Cycling can be more fun on your own than in a large race setting. Take the stress down a notch and commit to a cycling virtual challenge on behalf of KIDS. - Our challenge: The tour de France is a big feat. Instead, cycle the area of Paris in 50 days. The total distance is 105.4 km, and you may complete it whenever and wherever you want. Swimming: It's more difficult to find swimming races than running races. So a virtual challenge swim may be the most convenient way to get that healthy dose of competition. - Our challenge: swim across the English Channel in 2 weeks. Of course, it doesn’t have to be the English Channel, the 36.2km can be swum in any lake, river or pool.
