In the average time it takes to run a marathon, approximately five children will be diagnosed as having a disability in the UK. Our team here at KIDS believe that all disabled children should be given every opportunity to fulfil their potential, to play and learn alongside their peers and contribute as full members of their communities.

Being a part of Team KIDS means that money you raise goes straight towards supporting our vital services for disabled children and their families across the country.

KIDS has 35 Golden Bond places available each year. If you feel confident in raising the minimum sponsorship target of £1400 (plus an additional £100 non-refundable registration fee) then we'd love to have you on our team. If you already have your place, we'd also love for you to join Team KIDS - we had over 40 people run for us in 2016, who raised over £100,000. Let's make 2017 even bigger and better!

You can expect lots of support from KIDS as we help you along your journey towards race day. Think training plans, fundraising tips and a friendly KIDS' contact who will answer all of your questions, worries and will listen to all of your running updates!

On marathon day we have two cheering points, eager to make lots of noise and show you how much we appreciate everything you've done as a KIDS' team member for the families we support. We invite your friends and family to join us too and will provide you with a pack in advance of race day to help them negotiate race day as a supporter.

Following the race, we'll be waiting to meet and congratulate you! At the post race reception, you'll be invited to enjoy a much need massage and some light refreshments along with your friends and family.
