"Last year I ran for Children with Cancer UK and this year I'll be running for the charity, KIDS. It's a fantastic charity that gives disabled children a chance to take part in and enjoy activities they otherwise wouldn't be able to do. With my career in sport and education, I think this type of work is invaluable.

Running the marathon last year means I know the challenge ahead. To be honest, I'm not sure it's any sort of advantage! I still clearly remember the never ending miles and physical and mental pain you go through during the run. The training and the actual running of the London Marathon is extremely tough. It takes a lot of time and dedication and I can still remember the way I felt during the last few miles last year! It's physically and mentally a real tough test.

I'm also hosting a Fun Run with some pupils I teach which will hopefully raise a good amount for  KIDS. After fundraising and completing the 2016 London Marathon I've seen first hand what a difference I can actually make to people's lives."
