Lauren an Apprentice Administrator discusses her experience working for KIDS

"My role as an Apprentice Administrator is really interesting and varied. My apprenticeship will run over a period of 12 months and alongside my role I have coursework to complete in order to obtain a level 2 qualification in Business and Administration.

Although my working hours are generally 9-5 there is a good deal of flexibility in the hours I work. I am able to come into work earlier if necessary and either leave earlier that afternoon or take back my hours another day, this is very useful in order to have a good work life balance.

When I first joined KIDS, I was greeted with a very warm welcome. All the staff made a huge effort to make me feel comfortable and made it clear that if I was unsure about anything that I could come to them for help. Working for KIDS is also very rewarding due to the nature of the charity and the support it gives disabled children, young people and their families. Many of the staff get themselves involved in events held to raise money such as running and cycling and support and motivate each other to do their best.

I would highly recommend KIDS to anyone looking for a fulfilling role."
