During the Easter holidays, ten children and young people from KIDS Lady Allen Adventure Playground in Wandsworth were treated to a very special visit to the All England Club in Wimbledon.

The trip was hosted by the Wimbledon Foundation, and children from KIDS enjoyed visiting the club’s museum and handling objects, as well as a private tour of Centre Court, the Player’s Area and the Broadcast Centre.

Children who attended said their favourite parts of the day were “dressing up in the old tennis costumes” and “seeing centre court!”

Victoria Bakare, Deputy Manager at KIDS Lady Allen Adventure Playground, said:

The Wimbledon visit was fantastic – the staff team there were so welcoming and made sure our children and young people had a brilliant day. They loved learning lots of interesting tennis facts and getting to see and hold things for themselves. It was a very special treat for them and we are extremely grateful for all of the support we receive from the Wimbledon Foundation.
