Hourly rate: £7.20 per hour (plus 12.07% holiday pay)
Hours of work: Variable hours on an "as and when" basis
Promote the project and identify young carers by working with parents, young people and professionals
Support with carrying out and follow up home visits, and facilitate arrangements for young carers to attend various activities.
Deliver, alongside partnership agencies, group work opportunities for young carers.
Involve young carers in the planning and preparation of the project.
Co-facilitate the delivery of support sessions for young carers
Develop, monitor and evaluate service delivery, to record and include young peoples feed back.
Input information into the KIDS/Young Carers Data Base
Support with the delivery of activities for the young carers
Experience of working with children & young people.
A qualification in Youth Work or equivalent
Ability to maintain accurate records & contribute to multi-agency work
A sound working knowledge of IT and data systems
Ability to work alone and as a member of a team
Good communication skills & an ability to interact effectively with both children & their families.
Full driving license and access to own transport with business use insurance.
