Support Worker

Hourly rate: £6.79 per hour (plus 12.07% holiday pay)

The role:

We are looking for caring, enthusiastic individuals to help support a 5 year old child with cerebral palsy within a family environment living in the Alfreton, Derbyshire area.

You will assist with getting up, washed, dressed, feeding and walking to school 7.30am to 9.15am Monday to Friday term time and then collecting from school, settling back home 3.30pm to 5.30pm Monday to Friday term time.  You will also take the young person on a short break out into the community every other Saturday for 3 hours during term time as well as provide activity sessions in the school holidays.

We are looking for approximately two to three workers to cover these hours on a rota basis so that there is cover for holidays, sickness, etc. and so that consistent care is provided for this family.  A relevant qualification or experience in working with disabled children/young people is desirable, however training will be given.  So if you would like to join our team, feel you have the right skills for this role and can be fully committed to providing the care they require we would love to hear from you.  All successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
