Short Breaks Support Worker - Yate

Hourly rate: £8.12 per hour (+12.07% holiday pay)
Hours of work: One shift per week (3 hours on a Sunday afternoon)
Location: Yate, South West

The role:

KIDS are looking for a short breaks worker to join our busy team, supporting a disabled child and their family at home and in the community.

The child you will support is an 11 year old boy who enjoys swimming, going to the park and visiting farms and therefore the family requires a worker who is enthusiastic and enjoys being outdoors.  It would be beneficial to have at least a basic to intermediate level knowledge in Makaton. Personal care and some moving and handling will also be required as part of the role, experience is not always essential as training will be given.

So if you have some experience of supporting disabled people, would be committed to the role and to providing a safe and enjoyable session for the child, we would love to hear from you.

Car driver essential.

The role is subject to references and an enhanced DBS check.
