The role:

KIDS are looking for a Short Breaks Support Worker to join our busy team, supporting a disabled child and their family at home and in the community.

The child you will support is a 9 year old girl who enjoys sensory play including swinging and spinning, watching DVDs and going on fun days out. The family requires a worker who will provide lots of interaction and be both enthusiastic and encouraging.  Personal care, epilepsy awareness, as well as some moving and handling will be required as part of the role but experience is not always essential as training will be given.

So if you have some experience of supporting disabled people, would be committed to the role and to providing a safe and enjoyable session for the child, we would love to hear from you.

The role is subject to references and an enhanced DBS check.

Please note being a car driver is essential to the role for the support on a Saturday.
