The role:

To ensure that all parents/carers of children and young people with special educational needs in the broadest sense have access to the Parent Partnership Service.

The successful applicant will need to liaise closely with schools, the statutory and voluntary sector and other relevant agencies, and offer support to parents/carers to enable them to participate confidently and effectively in an informed way in the decision-making process regarding their child’s education.

Excellent communication skills, minimum NVQ level 3 or equivalent, knowledge of special educational needs legislation, experience of working in either the voluntary or statutory sector or both, and a current driving licence and access to a car will be required.
