Our Orchard Centre Direct Support Service provides direct support to disabled children and young people and their families, in and out of the family home, as well as in community and leisure environments.

How does the service work?

It can provide

  • One to one support to widen leisure, social opportunities, and access to other services
  • One to one support with life skills and independent travel
  • Home based support such as short breaks, personal care, respite or sitting services
  • Support with group and inclusive activities

We provide experienced and qualified staff workers, such as Buddies, Key Workers, Mentors, Support Workers and/or Specialist Carer.

We are OFSTED and CQC registered, fully insured and we strictly adhere to guidelines set by Sandwell and Dudley local authority Safeguarding Boards. 

Who is the service for?

We cater for children and young people (aged 0 to 25) across the entire range of disabilities. 

How much does it cost?

The price varies depending the service provision and level of care provided but it starts at £11.40 per hour.

How to access this service:

The Orchard Centre provides a very accessible service with a minimum amount of paperwork. Self-referrals are common.

This service can be directly purchased through Direct Payments, Personalised Budgets, Disability Living Allowance, Employment Support Allowance, Private/self-funding, etc…
