Short Breaks Worker

Variable hours, but mainly evenings and weekends, £6.66 (plus £0.80 holiday pay) per hour

The  Position

 

We are looking for caring, enthusiastic individuals to support disabled children and young people (5-17 yrs) on a 1-1 basis.  You will enable young people to access social, leisure and play opportunities in their local community, increasing independence, confidence, self-esteem and life skills.  You will be able to work on your own initiative, communicate effectively, establish good working relationships with young people and their families and have an understanding of equal opportunities, health and safety issues and child protection issues.  A relevant qualification in working with children/young people is desirable.  Flexibility is needed as you will be required to work evenings and weekends and a car driver is desirable but not essential.
