Working with disabled children, young people and their families

Reporting to the Chief Executive this post is part of the Senior Management team and is the leadership role for all KIDS service delivery to disabled children and young people in the West and (most of the) East Midlands. Current staffing in the Region consists of 320 people and a turnover of £2 million.

The successful candidate will:

•           Be qualified in education, social work, youth and community work or a similar field.

•           Have successful experience of:

Working with (preferably disabled) children and/or young people and/or their families.

Managing people and generating income at a senior level.

Tendering and contract negotiation.

•           Have knowledge of appropriate Child and Social Care legislation/regulation.

•           Demonstrable commitment to equality of opportunity and inclusion.
