East and West HUBs

What do we do?

The KIDS East and West HUB services offer information and support to the parents and carers of disabled children and young people (from birth up to young people aged 19) across Hertfordshire.

How can we help you?

We can offer support by phone, email or face to face and appointments can be made for home or HUB visits at a time to suit you. Our services include:

  • Attending educational or social service meetings with you
  • Supporting you in applying for specialist parking or benefits such as the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
  • Supplying you with information on local groups, clubs and activities
  • Signposting you to relevant local and national services
  • Supporting you in getting the services you need!

Drop-in sessions:

East HUB: open 9.30am to 11.30am Tuesdays

West HUB
: open 10am to 12pm every other Monday (please call for next dates)

Drop-in sessions are offered in a family-friendly space for parents and carers to meet and have a coffee. HUB staff will be on hand if you want to discuss anything. Children are welcome.

Other services:
  • Family fun days: social events for families with a disabled child
  • Support groups: meeting rooms for pre-existing disability groups; new groups are also encouraged
  • Workshops for parents and carers, according to expressed need or interest, and signposting to additional training
