Direct Short Breaks Worker

Variable hours. £8.27 (plus £1.00 holiday pay) per hour.

As a Short Breaks Worker, you can help disabled children and young people throughout the borough to access and enjoy activities whilst giving their families a much-needed break from their caring role.

Previous experience of working with children, preferably disabled children, is desirable. Training (e-learning) will be provided and you will also have the ongoing support of a local supervisor.

You will need stamina, enthusiasm, a positive outlook and a commitment to providing a high quality service to disabled children. Working hours can be flexible and variable but likely to be mainly at weekends, school holidays or late pm on schooldays.
