Our Services

KIDS Direct Short Breaks has been working in the Blackburn with Darwin area for several months now and our Short Break service will be available within the next few weeks

We have recruited a local area supervisor who lives in Blackburn and this person will act as the first point of contact for the families that we work with and the Short Break workers that we engage.

We are in the process of recruiting and training the Short Break workers for this area and once this is complete we will be ready to launch our service.

For families
If you think that you would benefit from this service then you should contact your existing social worker / health visitor from Blackburn with Darwen council and ask them about the KIDS Direct Short Breaks service.

For workers
The first wave of recruitment in Blackburn has now been completed and our workers are now completing the necessary training and checks before starting work with us. However, we are always interested in hearing from enthusiastic and committed people who are interested in working with children and young people.
