Southwark Home Learning

Home Learning is a Portage registered Service. The service can be used by families in Southwark who have a disabled baby or young child (or where the child’s development is causing concern e.g. speech and language delay), the service is for children aged 0-5 who do not yet access any form of nursery or school provision.

How the Service works: a KIDS home Learning practitioner will visit weekly and look with the parent at what the child can do and what you would like them to achieve next. We will develop an individual programme specifically for your child and your family to work towards.

Each week we will bring fun activities to complete. We then leave activities for you to continue with during the week to encourage development on a weekly basis.
We will support you in accessing education provision e.g. playgroups, nurseries, Children's Centre provision and school.

The KIDS service is operated all the year round as part of the Children's Centres.

Opening Times: 09.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday

Cost of Service: This service is free.

How to Refer:

We welcome contact directly from parents, however, anyone can refer with the family’s permission.
