East Kent ShortBreaks
The Kent Befriending and Short Breaks service aims to support families with a Disabled Young Person (age 13-18 years) by providing a befriender for an agreed number of hours each week.
The aim of befriending includes a wide range of objectives including involving the young person in activities which could be going to the local swimming pool, cinema or visiting a local park.
It can also cover intensive work with families who are under stress, when a larger number of hours can be allocated.
The scheme also offers a service to Young People who have complex needs which involves a great deal of personal care.
Opening Times: 09.00 to 17.00 Monday to Friday
Cost of Service: £12.50 per session
