Playschemes
KIDS provide a Summer Playscheme for a period of four weeks. Disabled young people aged from 8 to 18 who live within the Hull boundaries are eligible to access this service for one or two weeks depending on their assessed need.
KIDS use various venues during the four weeks, including schools and youth clubs. These are the bases where the young people meet, play and plan their week’s activities
To access the KIDS Playscheme families need to request the service through their social worker or the Disability Team. This request is then taken to the Disability Panel who allocate places.
The aim of the Summer Playscheme is for young people to have fun and take part in lots of activities, including, horse riding, rock climbing, trips to the park and local leisure facilities etc.
Opening Times: 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday
Cost of Service: This service is free
How to refer: Referrals are made through social workers at the disability team, enquiries can be made directly to us.
