What we stand for

KIDS empowers disabled children and young people to get the most out of life. We work in partnership with the individual, their parents/carers, wider family and other organisations to support disabled children and young people in everyday life and to fulfil their future hopes, dreams and aspirations.

KIDS works to change attitudes and perceptions, to create a society where all children experience the joys and challenges of everyday life. KIDS is committed to enabling choice and creating opportunity for children and young people to take part in positive play, leisure, learning, employment/training and social activities that support transition to adulthood. We want fantastic facilities designed and developed by children and young people, that they feel ownership of, to help them grow in confidence and ability and support their participation in community activities.

KIDS strive to share our good practice and shape national policy.  We are commissioned to advise government departments and support local government to develop inclusive child centred services. Brilliant services, serious fun, for everyone.
