We run specialist play sessions for disabled children aged 0-5yrs, who have complex and significant needs.
Activities may include; the use of sensory equipment, messy play, music & singing, outdoor play, as well as one to one play development activities throughout the session. We are able to join the nursery children during the session, which creates a great inclusive environment for the children who attend the group.
We work in partnership with both the parents and professionals involved, working on specific targets/activities, as well as offering support and advice to the parents and carers.
The staff team are very highly skilled and qualified in working with disabled children. They also have knowledge and experience of working with children who have medical conditions, such as, epilepsy, asthma and children who require tube feeding and / or medication.
Opening Times: 10:00 to 14:00 Fridays
Cost of Service: Free of charge
How to Refer: Referrals usually via Birmingham City Council's Specialist Disabled Childrens Team at Harris House or direct to KIDS Regional Office
