Birmingham Inclusion Development

For disabled children and young people aged 6-19yrs

KIDS Inclusion Development Service Team is here to provide inclusive access to leisure settings across Birmingham. We will support the children and young people to go to activity clubs after school or at weekends.  Including things like; sports, music, drama, dance and more.  We will ensure that all staff working at the setting is trained in disability & inclusion awareness.
We can provide:

• Support for the children & young people for short term initially, with continued support for the family with information, signposting and advice with benefits and legal issues.

We are working toward building a team of volunteers who will work as buddy’s and mentors to the 13 – 19 yr olds when doing leisure activities like; Shopping, cinema, gym, watching sports and more. We ensure the family are supported and that the activities they do take part in are successful and fulfilling the needs of the children and young people.

• Free training to service providers and families in disability awareness and inclusion.*

• Parent support groups in 3 key areas: East, South & South West Birmingham.

To include help and support in applying for funding for activities during the holidays.
