Practitioner (Young Carers)

18 hours week to include evenings, weekends and school holidays, Grade 7, FTE Salary £15,095

Closing Date: 7th October 2011

 

The Position

 

This role will require an enthusiastic person to work with young carers

on a one to one basis, including the engagement in appropriate activities,

the delivery of group work and the provision of practical and emotional

support to enable the young carers access the services they require.

 

Key skills and experience.

 

  • Experience of working with children and young people.
  • Experience of working with groups desirable.
  • Good communication skills and an ability to interact effectively with both children and their parents.
  • Ability to organise self and complete tasks as directed.
  • Knowledge of working with lead officers in schools.

 

A full CRB check prior to taking up the post is mandatory.
