Big Team Challenge Days at one of our four Adventure Playgrounds across London are the next step up from our 'Volunteer for KIDS' programme and the perfect opportunity to support a local charity, exercise your creative genius and build your team away from the phones and emails of the office:

Benefits of the KIDS Big Team Challenge:

 

·         KIDS Big Team Challenges provide a really motivational way for colleagues to work together on a meaningful project outside of their day to day tasks

·         They allow them to make their mark on one of KIDS Playgrounds with a sustainable project that they can revisit to see how it has improved things

·         They are a chance to network with colleagues and clients with the aim of collaborating on a really worthwhile project, also demonstrating to external contacts how your company is a good corporate citizen

 

·         KIDS Big Team Challenges can work very well as part of a Graduate Programme in educating graduates about the importance of CSR projects.  They encourage participants to move out of their comfort zones as well as accelerating their learning and giving them the opportunity to demonstrate skills that will be beneficial to their future careers in the organisation 

·         For KIDS, it offers a hugely valuable service, providing input into areas where there is little funding which helps us to develop our facilities, providing a bright, fun and exciting place for more disabled children to play

If you’re part of a team that is looking to lend a helping hand to one of KIDS’ four London Adventure Playgrounds on a smaller scale, we would love to hear from you as well!  In the past 12 months, KIDS has run successful Volunteer for KIDS days with companies such as Barclays, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, PRS for Music and RBS to name but a few.  The activities carried out by these teams have been incredibly varied - PRS for Music undertook electrical and plumbing repairs and installed a new CCTV system at our Hackney Playground, while many of the others helped us to keep the grass and weeds down and the play centre clean and tidy.

 

If you have anyone in your team with a specific skill or talent that they would like to lend to the playgrounds, for example if they are a professional artist, painter, plumber, electrician or carpenter in their spare time, please don’t hesitate to let us know so we can match your team up to a project which allows them to exercise their creative genius!
