Fundraising for Schools
Bertrum House School
Throughout the 2009-2010 school year Bertrum House School raised money for KIDS Lady Allen adventure playground with a variety of events including a Christmas bazaar and fair, quiz night and sponsored aerobathon. In total a brilliant £3,838.20 was raised, this enabled Lady Allen to purchase new specially adapted trikes and go out on trips to an Outdoor Activity centre and horse riding. The pupils at Bertrum House school also had the opportunity to visit Lady Allen playground and see where the money they raised would be going. Jane, a parent on the PTA and one of the organisers of Bertrum House School’s fundraising said:
“It’s really great to have an opportunity to visit directly the services that will benefit from our fundraising. It’s so good to see what a difference the money makes; the children loved the playground as well!”
