Playwork Inclusion Project
The Playwork Inclusion Project ran from 2001 to 2011 under grant funding from the Department for Education. It offered strategic development, information and guidance to authorities and settings on inclusive play and childcare, including:
The National Inclusion Forum, disseminating good practice on inclusion.
Publications and briefings around the issue of inclusive play and childcare.
The National Inclusive Play Network which held termly network meetings and seminars, hosted by KIDS.
Regional network seminars, providing an opportunity for practitioners and managers to develop and share good practice.
Seminars and one-to-one advice to enable partners to strategically develop their practice on inclusion.
PIP E-bulletin on inclusive play, childcare and leisure for disabled children and young people. The eBulletin is still available to subscribers.
