For commissioners


The Office of Public Management is developing guidance for commissioners to support the implementation of whole system changes, which are required in order to make personalisation and personal budgets possible for disabled children and young people.

Commissioners will need to plan and transform commissioning with regard to: deciding on the investments to be made to a variety of services; shaping services to meet the requirements of families; and building local partnerships to increase the range of services available to families, including preventative and wellbeing services.

This will require a whole system change and our new guidance will provide some useful information on how to manage this.
