Online Guidance Launch

KIDS have launched the Young People’s Inclusion Network (YP-in) online guidance. YP-in was a 3 year KIDS project that has now culminated in the production of extensive guidance based on the young people’s experiences. The project worked with young disabled people to help them explore and speak out about what they required to participate fully in play, youth and leisure activities, and was funded by the Big Lottery Fund to December 2008.

The guidance is split into three sections and is a mixture of text, video and still photographs – both published and online. It is designed to help play, youth and leisure organisations incorporate inclusive principles into all aspects of their work - in policy, management and service delivery. The guidance is aimed at: policy makers, local authority play pathfinders and playbuilders, practitioners and transition workers. Licenses are now available to purchase and a special discount is currently available for play pathfinders, playbuilders and transition workers.
